Hi Peter. I've unfortunately never had the chance to meet you in person, but I will keep this short and just say thank you. Thank you for being the inspiration and Soundtrack to my life. Also, congratulations on being Cancer Free. I've lost my Mother, Father, and Sister to that Horrible Disease, and just knowing your fight and bravery just makes you an even bigger ICON to me. Your hard work and perseverance does not go unnoticed. I wish you and Gigi MANY more happy Years together.

A fan for life,

Dan S.

Janel H. - December 2021

Peter,

Just wanted to let you know I thought your book was a great read . I really enjoyed reading it. Also you were so disrespected so much by some in kiss and you deserved so much respect by them and some people who claim to be fans. True fans have and will always stand by you.

Praying that you stay healthy and happy!

One of your many great fans!!!!

Janel H.

Skyy - November 2021

Hiya Peter,

I’m Skyy and I’m 16. I have been a fan of you for a while now since I was 13 and look up to you as a positive influence in my life. Ever since I first got into KISS I had always admired your style. You have been the inspiration for me to keep going when I want to quit at times as I get frustrated with my art. Due to the admiration I have for you I like to draw you from time to time. I just really wanted to share with you what is still my favorite image I drew! I hope you enjoy it as I still do like to draw you. I’m not too good at wording emails but I do hope you enjoy my work!

Catman, I just wrote this review on Amazon:

Raw, captivating, and a page-turner! I'm a drummer in my 50's, always loved Peter Criss and Kiss and I can't believe how revealing and honest this book is! Takes me back to the glory days of drugs, sex, and rock and roll and paints Paul and Gene in a whole new accurate light. Much love to Peter and Ace and if this helps Peter get back some of his stolen fame and fortune then I'd gladly buy 100 copies of this book.

Btw- when I was 13 in 1982 you inspired me to start playing the drums and I still play to this day. I dressed as you for Halloween for many years and even left my makeup on for 3 straight days at which point my good ol Chicago Italian mom, firmly told me to go wash my face before my entire face turned into one giant pimple!  My mom beat breast cancer twice and in the 80's!

Much love and respect to you sir and because of you I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day!

Al T. - October 2021

Greetings Peter,

I just wanted to share a moment in my life with you. 1995. St. Louis KISS convention. I was walking through the traveling museum in awe of KISSTORY around me. I rounded a corner and took a double take...then a chill went up my spine. YOUR drums from the cover of ALIVE! I stepped closer with the realization that tears were coming to my eyes. You see it wasn't real until that moment. The museum, the stage gear, outfits, guitars, none of it until I seen YOUR Drums. There's only 1 Catman, there will ever only be 1 Catman. I thank you for all the years of smiles and light you have brought, and continue to bring to this fan's life.

Blessings to you and yours,

Al T.

Jayden M. - October 2021

Hi Peter,

I’m 19 and from Brisbane, Australia, just wanted to share with you the artwork I created of the Catman. It was made using smashed vinyl pieces and was inspired from your solo album! Come to Australia when you can, we’d love to have you!

Kind regards,

Jayden M.

Hello Peter Criss, hey, I'm your fan. You've been a great musician, teacher, drummer, you're great, great, great Peter, I want you greetings from Mexico.

Tim W. - September 2021

Hi Peter,

My name is Tim W., you have influenced me since I was a kid, I bought the Kiss alive album when I was about 13 years old, I practiced the drum parts until I knew them by heart. Whe I was in high school your influences helped me to be one of the best drummers in New Mexico. Playing was my life, unfortunately I moved to Las Vegas Nevada to see if the music seen would help kick start my career, I ended up addicted to gambling and had to sell my drum kit, I was devastated. I have since purchased a new kit and I am practicing once again. I still love playing even at 56 years old, my arthritis doesn't like it much though. You have been a huge influence in my life and I wanted to thank you personally for that, the years of drumming even a shot stint professionally with a wedding band was the best time of my life. I hope this finds you doing well and wished I could've thanked you in person.

Fan forever,

Tim W.

David R. - September 2021

Mr. Peter Criss,

I want to thank you for your music.

You have always been an inspiration to me.  I know you hear a lot of drummers say you are the reason they play. You can add yet another to this list. I've been "you" for Halloween many times.. I've even sat behind my kit dressed as you .. The most important thing on my bucket list is to meet you one day and personally thank you. I have been to many shows and always wanted to meet you.. but I don't wanna be a pain in the ass.. May you have continued success and live forever!! Thank you for everything..

David R.

Randy K. - September 2021

Dear Peter,

I don't know if you will ever read this or not, because I'm sure you receive tens of thousands of emails but here it goes. I thought your book was very insightful, well written, and I'm truly sorry to hear of all the crap you had to endure in your career. I was raised in the Cadillac Michigan area and lived there when you guys visited, and I seen you in Tiger Stadium on that first day on your reunion tour. It was awesome!

Anyways I just wanted to thank you especially for the last chapter of your book where you talk about your relationship with God. I too pray to the big guy upstairs the way you do, I grew up Catholic (lost my way, but never my belief), a cancer scare/survivor (skin cancer...it all sucks dude), and have struggled with "not counting my blessings" enough.
You sir brought me renewed focus on God and being thankful by reading that last chapter.

I hope you and your family are well. Thank you for the many memories over the years with your music and especially your inspiration.

God bless,

Randy K.

Brian W. - August 2021

Hi Peter,

I just wanted to send you an email to say hello and to let you know how much you have inspired me over the last four decades. I started playing drums in the sixth grade (mid 1970’s) because I wanted to be like my “rock n roll hero”. I have seen Kiss in concert three times since 1980 and have always walked away I just total amazement. Just want to say thank you for being a positive role model for me.

Brian W.

I live in the same town as you and always wished I would run into you. Anyway, if you read this, god bless you and your family. Thanks again.

Best,

Tom

“In or out of makeup, I’ll always be the Catman….”

Saw that during the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction back then. Tears in my eyes and a fist pumped directly up. Peter, you are the *only* Catman, and will always be the definitive engine of Kiss. Forever and ever. God shine His light on you eternal.

My best to you,

Kenny

Noel D. - July 2021

Dear Peter,

Thers so much I want to thank you for.. I live in Ireland, a small rural village called Dromahair... I've been a fan of Kiss and you since 1974..im 59 now.. I just wanted to send a bit of support to your stance on Kiss now, and I suppose the upcoming documentary. I fully and absolutely back you on your decisions to distance yourself. You are rock royalty and deserve to be treated as such.. And hey, I'm Irish, I'm upfront.. I didn't always agree with your decisions but in hindsight I fully accept and stand behind you.

God bless you and thank you for so, so many highlights in my life...

Love you and Gigi,

Noel

Sergio S. - June 2021

Hey Peter,

My name is Sergio S. and I am reaching out to thank you for your service to rock and roll and let you know of my appreciation for everything you've done to influence young musicians all over the world. I am a life long kiss fan and was singing shout it out loud before I could even finish a coherent sentence. My father says he played jobim through headphones on my mothers stomach when I was in the womb, but I'm convinced he snuck in Alive and Destroyer too. I started drumming when I was 6 years old and remember the torment of sitting down on the kit for the first time and realising I actually had to learn in order to play like you. That experience only motivated me, and now at the age of 18 I am in multiple bands in Phoenix and we are even covering parasite. I still believe you transferred some of your powers to me when I asked you to bless my drumsticks at your book signing years ago. I have always considered you the pope of drumming and I still have those same sticks on my mantle to hold whenever I need a bit of the blessed power. Overall I just wanted to say Thank You and I hope all is well. I attached a photo of me the halloween after I started drumming, dressed up as the one and only catman. God Bless

P.S. You may remember my father, he gave you a Frank Sinatra Hancarchef at the L.A. Forum Back during the reunion tour.

Leo and Luna - June 2021

Peter,

Hope all is well. Leo is enjoying a good read with his cat Luna. Your inspiration spans all generations. Wishing you all the best.

Michael M. - June 2021

Glad to hear the you got your covid shots. I have been fighting covid for 10 days and it’s been super tough. I started playing drums when my parents gave me a can of Lincoln logs. When I first heard you play you became my favorite. Thank you for the music. I still have a pic that I took of you at MSG in 1979. I would love to meet you one day to get your autograph. I attached the picture.

Stay safe and thank you!

Tetsu M. - May 2021

Dear Peter Criss,

I'm Tetsu M. in Tokyo Japan and it’s nice to meet you.

When I was a kid, I listened to a lot of music but when I heard KISS (original KISS) I was both shocked and excited! After that I became a musician. Yes, Peter and KISS led my life from then on.

I'm a musician and I manage two bands. The one band is “SCARFACE". We play Motown, R & B, Rock'n’Roll, disco, American hits and KISS songs at clubs and restaurants every night. The other band is... Yes, a KISS tribute band called "KISS FACE!"

Peter, you played a KISS song at the 2017 New York Last Live with a horn section. That was an amazing idea!  The KISS songs were so gorgeous and jazzy. I love that groove! I now also played KISS songs like you with a horn section. It sounds amazingly cool and the audience loves it!

I would like to sincerely thank you for putting that idea in the universe. It is spectacularly brilliant, genius and I owe you so much for doing it.

Every December, Monchiy and I have a KISS live show to celebrate Peter's birthday in Tokyo. Yes, Monchiy is my lifelong friend.

Of course, This year too, we had a party on Dec 20th to celebrate Peter's 75th birthday!

Paul, Gene and Ace each performed solo shows in Japan. Peter, on behalf of Japan, we hope that you perform here too.

Peter, you are a spectacular musician and an innovative performer, you have many great fans here in Japan and we all hope you the best and we all look forward to seeing you perform soon!

All the very best and Rock’N’Roll forever,

Tetsu M.

Amy D. - April 2021

Dear Peter,

I hope this email finds you well, I'm writing to let you know how thankful that I am for you and your music.

Your music has helped me through some hard times recently and this makes me extremely appreciative of it and you as you are the one who brought it into the world!! All of the work that you did whilst in KISS and solo means so much to me. A particular favourite will always be "I Can't Stop The Rain" because the way that I have interpreted it has become a motto I use whenever I need help getting through tough times. Basically to me it means: I see the rain as anything difficult that heads my way that I must face and learn from, hence, I can't stop the rain because it is something that one shouldn't run from but should face. Keeping this in mind when I'm struggling really helps me get through difficulties and for this reason...you matter to me.

You're an extremely talented musician Peter and have touched the lives of so many people with your music and will continue to forever. Your 1978 solo album will always have a special place in my heart and I just wanted you to be aware of the impact that you have had on my life. I'm a younger KISS fan but I will carry your music with me throughout life.

I am glad that you are happily retired after a life of such legacy that will withstand for eternity. I really loved your drumming on your song with Richie Scarlet, it was powerful. You really do deserve everything that you've got. Keep rocking!

I will forever be indebted to you,

Amy

Frank H. - March 2021

Mr. Criss,

My grandfather has introduce me (10 yr old) to his favorite band when he was just a kid, at the same age he heard of KISS. I just want to tell you that I think your the greatest drummer. My favorite song you sing is Tossin’ and Turnin’.

Thanks for taking your time to read this.

Vito P. - March 2021

Hi Peter,

I just wanted to say that I finished your book and I loved it. It was brutally honest and blunt. I have been a Kiss fan since 1976 and have seen the band about 15 times. I would never even think of seeing the band without you and Ace. Without both of you, it’s not Kiss.

I read Ace’s book as well but it seems as though yours was willing to go places his was not. I loved the fact that you ended the book by talking about your spirituality. I agree 1000% that you must “forgive to live”.

I was in Barclays Center to see you guys get inducted, and I was absolutely thrilled that the committee realized that the four of you are the proper , and only , members to induct.

Wanted to say thanks for all the great memories in concert. I was only 11 when my brother started taking me to Kiss concerts and they were always incredible.

God bless and I wish for you another “nine lives!”

All the best,

Vito P.

Patrick D. - February 2021

Not sure if you'll ever actually see this but thanks for the music and inspiration, CatMan.

I've told you this before but I was there in the crowd at Magic Mountain - my first Kiss concert. It meant everything to that 13 year old. Never lost that feeling from that night.

You made me pick up sticks. To this day 45 years later, still playing. Though only for myself these covid daze. That passion also landed me a job working at DW in the late '90's. I recall that time as some of the best years of my life. All the concert passes along with meeting some of my idols - including you. First was at the shop but the extended introduction was at the Ventura Theater. Hanging out backstage and just shooting the shit while on tour with Ace. That 13yo kid, who put on your make up annually for Halloween, I was beside myself. Thank you.

Later, watching the tiger kit go through production, was the production rehearsal at Dodger Stadium. Watching an entire concert with a handful of guests (okay, maybe 100), it was that same feeling at Magic Mountain.

So, again, thank you! I can't express enough the gratitude for what you've meant to me.

All the best,

Patrick D.

Brooklyn C. - February 2021

Hello! How are you? I hope you are doing well in these troubling times. My name is Brooklyn, and I’m 21 from Tennessee (nope not from Brooklyn like everyone asks haha)

I just wanted to reach out and say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful music you’ve created throughout the years. It changed my life forever. You have always been, and always will be, my favorite drummer of all time. I really wish I could’ve seen a show with you in it live at least once, but hey, YouTube will do :)

I also read your book, and I just wanted to say that on top of you having a very wild and interesting life, you’re a very brave and fierce fighter too! I really admire that and even inspires me to persevere throughout my own struggles in life. All in all you’re one of a kind in all the best ways.

I hope this message finds you well. I’m sure you get bombarded with emails. But if you happen to stumble upon mine I hope it makes you smile :)

God bless,

Brooklyn C.
